# Split Welded Mesh

Split a mesh into a list of separate mesh patches, using non-manifold and boundary edges as split barriers. Optionally, an angle threshold lets patches on either side of a non-manifold edge merge back together: each face pairs with the face across the edge that continues it most smoothly, when the two are within the threshold of being flat.

### Inputs

| Name | Type | Description |
| - | - | - |
| Mesh | [Mesh](../../../../block-documentation/types/mesh) | Mesh to split. |
| Angle threshold | [Scalar](../../../../block-documentation/types/scalar) | Patches on either side of a non-manifold edge are merged if the angle between their faces is within this threshold of flat (for example, 90 degrees allows right-angle bends). Each face is matched to the face that continues it most smoothly across the edge, rather than merging every qualifying pair. If 0 or not provided, patches are always split at every non-manifold or boundary edge. Must be less than 180 degrees. |
