# How can I transfer a license to a different user?

## Question:

How can organizations transfer licenses between users? If an employee changes roles, can a company reassign nTop to someone else? Can cloud licenses be assigned to a new user?

## Applies to:

* Local Licenses

## Answer:

Cloud licenses can be easily assigned to a new email. If an end-user changes roles or departs a company, contact nTop support to request a transfer.

Local licenses cannot be transferred to new users until the expiry date.
