# nTop Licensing Options

nTop is a desktop application, that offers multiple licensing models for customers.

## Licensing Options

The table below outlines the various licensing models and authentication mechanisms available to customers.

| **License Model**          | **Description**                                                                                             |
| -------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Named-User Licensing       | For individual users who need a dedicated license within their organization.                                |
| Cloud Floating Licensing   | For organizations that want to share licenses between a group of users.                                     |
| FlexNet Floating Licensing | For organizations that are unable to use our cloud-authenticated licenses and already use FlexNet licenses. |

## Notes

* nTop software products (nTop, nTop Automate, nTop Core) are desktop-only applications.
* Users and Organization Admins can manage their cloud licenses and software downloads on the [nTop User Dashboard](https://app.ntop.com/).
* nTop software products connect to cloud services for license authentication, software updates, and sending personalized or anonymized usage data as per user preference.
