# Can I view nTop files without nTop?

Can I view nTop files without nTop?

How can I view nTop files?

## Answer:

nTop files are saved in a .ntop format and require an installation of nTop to open and view. You can do this with [Preview Mode](/help-articles/access-and-installation/accounts-and-licensing/ntop-preview-guide) (no license required).

If you are unable to install nTop, the best approach would be to export your parts ([How do I export from nTop?](https://support.ntop.com/hc/en-us/articles/360050845253)). Once your file is exported, you can view it in a CAD or 3D Viewer program.
