# Does nTop require internet access?

Is there any nTop functionality that requires internet access?

## Answer:

nTop is a desktop application and stores project data locally. The application connects to cloud services for software delivery, software updates, license authentication, account management, and analytics. You may run nTop without an internet connection for 10 days before being prompted to connect to the internet again.
