# The software does not open when using a laptop with a docking station

## Issue:

nTop opens properly on an undocked Dell Precision laptop. However, the software does not work if connected to a Dell D6000 docking station utilizing USB Graphics.

## Cause:

Some docking stations utilize USB Graphic solutions that may interfere with discrete GPUs.

## Solution:

Some users can work around this issue by starting nTop on the undocked workstation and then connecting to the dock. However, a Dell Docking station with a Thunderbolt connection may offer a better experience. Visit the Dell troubleshooting guide for more assistance.
