# How to fix slice data must be specified in positive XYZ space error

## Issue:

I am trying to export slices and I encountered an error that says "Slice data must be specified in positive XYZ space"

## Applies to:

* Exporting slices

## Cause:

For the slicer to operate properly, the body must be located entirely in positive coordinate space. This error occurs when a body is in negative coordinate space.

For example, the cube below is centered at (0,0,0). So the bottom half of the cube is technically in negative coordinate space.

Use the **Translate Object** block to move the body into entirely positive coordinate space, or change the original origin of the body. You can see in the photo below how applying a **Translate Object** block eliminates the error message. Section 1 contains our original cube at (0,0,0), while Section 2 translates the block to (10,10,10) and re-slices. These new slices are able to be successfully exported.
