# How to calculate the mass or volume of a part

## Objective:

Learn how to calculate mass and volume

## Applies to:

* Mass Properties

## Procedure:

* Insert the body you want to evaluate in the Body field
* Apply a density value
* The Relative Error input defaults to 0.01

You can then open the properties panel of the Mass Properties block and see the resulting values.
