# Can I export Line Segments from a lattice as a CSV?

Can I export Line Segments from a lattice as a CSV?

## Answer:

Yes, you can export Lattice Line Segments as a CSV by using the Line Segment properties and Point Maps. You would need to use multiple Point Maps and combine them in Excel or another spreadsheet program after. Depending on what information you need, your Point Maps could look like this:

**Point Map 1**

* * Points: Line Segments > Start Point
    * Values: Line Segments > Direction

**Point Map 2**

* * Points: Line Segments > Start Point
    * Values: Line Segments > Length

**Point Map 3**

* * Points: Line Segments > Start Point
    * Values: Line Segments > End Point

We use the same Points in each map so it is easier to map them together.
