# Can I make non-rounded lattice beams?

## Question:

Can I make non-rounded lattice beams?

## Applies to:

* Lattices
* Meshing
* Export

## Answer:

We currently don't offer this in Implicit format, but you can create a mesh with non-rounded lattice beams.

We recommend using the V2 of the **Mesh from Implicit Body** block to do this, with the *Sharpen* and *Simplify* option checked on.

For example, if your lattice has 0.5 mm thickness and you set the tolerance to 0.5 mm, the result creates a hexagon shape instead of rounded edges. We don't recommend using a tolerance larger than the lattice thickness, as you will lose too many details.

You can continue to use the **Simplify Mesh by Amount** or **Simplify Mesh by Threshold** blocks to further simplify your lattice beams.
