# A runtime error has occurred

## Issue:

When I run a file in nTop Automate, I get the error "A runtime error has occurred."

## Applies to:

* nTop Automate

## Cause:

This is happening because you are trying to use an input JSON file with a different input type than the nTop file.

## Solution:

You can fix this issue by checking the input.json to ensure all the types are correctly mapped, or use the -- template command to generate your input and output JSON files.
