# Can I edit the coordinates of an Orthotropic material?

## Question:

Can I edit the coordinates of an Orthotropic material?

## Applies to:

* Design analysis, materials, topology optimization

## Answer:

Yes, the coordinates for Orthotropic materials can be edited.

When you add a **Solid FE Attribute** to your FE Model, it gives you the option to add a **Frame**. Adding a **Frame** to this block sets the coordinates for the material. If no **Frame** is set, then the material will have global coordinates.
