# Why is there an error beside certain property chips?

## Question:

Why is there an error beside certain property chips when I run my block?

## Applies to:

* User interface

## Answer:

Sometimes, when you run a block and open up the Info panel, there are red error markings beside certain property chips. This error is alerting you that the property is **empty** and won't have any output. If you were to use that property chip, the error would come with it and there would be no output.

For example, a **Topology Optimization** block doesn't have an associated temperature, therefore, the temperature property chip that builds with the block is empty and gives you the error: Incorrect units to use property.

![Sometimes blocks have a placeholder property chip even though they don't have associated values for that property. This image shows how the temperature property chip of a Topology Optimization yields the incorrect units to use property error. This is because Topology Optimizations don't use temperature values.](https://files.learn.ntop.com/help-articles/user-interface/49669230656659.png)## More on this topic:
