# Overview

> Learn how to create baffles and plenums and prepare the mesh for HEX design.

This course will build upon and complete the heat exchanger started in the [Intro to Two-Channel Heat Exchangers](/lessons/heat-exchanger-design-1-intro-to-two-channel-heat-exchangers/before-we-begin-hex-1) course. The course will take you through techniques used to create baffles and plenums. After completion, you will have learned how to create your own HEX.
