# Parametric Aircraft Design
> This course guides you through the complete process of building a parametric aircraft model in nTop using field-based modeling techniques.
You'll start by creating **Wing** structures, learning to control critical parameters like taper ratio, dihedral angle, and quarter chord angle.
From there, you'll develop a **Fuselage** using spline-based cross-sections and boolean operations to merge components seamlessly.
The course then covers internal **Ducting** geometry that demonstrates how to model functional pathways through your aircraft geometry.
Then, we'll cover **Empennage** assembly, where you'll model horizontal and vertical stabilizers with proper geometric relationships.
Each of these four major components—wing, fuselage, ducting, and empennage—will be modularized and saved as separate custom blocks with strategically exposed parameters, allowing you to build a reusable library of aircraft components that can be rapidly configured and assembled.
