About this Block

What it does: Defines an orthotropic material using a list of provided orthotropic material properties. Orthotropic materials have mechanical or thermal properties in two or three planes perpendicular to each other. Wood is an example of an orthotropic material. Common uses:
  • Simulation or analysis of an orthotropic material.
Tips:
  • Acceptable inputs include both physical and thermal properties.
  • Most required inputs are separated into their X, Y, and Z components.
Defines an Orthotropic Material by providing a list of Orthotropic Material Properties. The properties of an orthotropic material can vary in three mutually orthogonal directions.
