About this Block
What it does: Creates a list of the Coefficient of Thermal Expansion inputs that are separated into their X, Y, and Z components. Common uses:- An input in defining an Orthotropic Material.
- For conducting a Thermal Analysis.
- Create spatially varying properties by using Scalar Fields as inputs.
Defines an Orthotropic Thermal Expansion Property by specifying the directional thermal expansion coefficients. Providing scalar fields as inputs will result in spatially varying material properties.
Inputs
| Name | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Alpha1 | Scalar Field | Coefficient of thermal expansion in the x-direction. |
| Alpha2 | Scalar Field | Coefficient of thermal expansion in the y-direction. |
| Alpha3 | Scalar Field | Coefficient of thermal expansion in the z-direction. |
