About this Block

The Extrusion Constraint block serves as a Topology Optimization constraint, which causes the TopOpt result to have a consistent profile along the direction of a specified curve. The curve input should start and end outside of the domain of the volume mesh used in the TopOpt. The curve input can be curved or straight, but the Line Segment block can not be used as input. Instead, use a Curve through Control Points block, and place the start and end points of the Line Segment into the curve’s point list. When using an extrusion constraint, it is suggested to set the boundary penalty to 0 in the topology optimization block.
