About this Block

What it does: A boundary condition that applies a temperature load to a thermal stress analysis. Common uses:
  • A boundary condition in a thermal stress analysis.
Tips:
  • We recommend running a Thermal Analysis first, then using the temperature property from that analysis as the input for the Applied Temperature Load.
  • Use it with an Initial Temperature boundary condition.
  • The thermal stress is calculated from the difference between the initial temperature and the applied temperature.

Example File

Download Example: Thermal Analysis Applied Temperature Defines the applied temperature load to be used in a thermal stress analysis. Thermal stress will be calculated from the difference between the initial temperature and the applied temperature load.
