About this Block

What it does: This block is used to define the baseline temperature to be used in thermal stress analysis. Commons uses:
  • A boundary condition in a thermal stress analysis.
Tips:
  • Use it with an Applied Temperature boundary condition.
  • The thermal stress is calculated from the difference between the initial temperature and the applied temperature.
