About this Block

What it does: The Offset Body block adjusts the surface boundary of a part outward or inward. A positive distance offsets the surface in the outward direction, while a negative value offsets inward. Distance is defined by a constant value or a scalar field. It accepts both implicit and lattice types for the body input and outputs an implicit body. Common uses:
  • Offsetting volumes
Tips
  • Thicken Body uses the boundary as a midpoint, it is recommended to use Offset Body when you are starting with a part that already has volume.
