About the error

Issue: Cannot translate any data from the imported CAD file. Applies to:
  • Import Part
Cause:
  • The application found no bodies, components, or curves in the imported CAD file. This could be due to the file not containing any of these elements (for example, a CAD file could contain only sketch data).
Curves in native SolidWorks files (SLDPRT) will not import. If the SLDPRT file contains only curves and no other geometry, you will get this error. Solution:
  • Make sure the CAD file contains solid geometry.
  • Make sure the CAD file is in a supported format.
