Now that you have learned field-based texturing in nTop, feel free to try this optional test problem with a review of the answer in the following lesson. Given this part in the starter file below, add roughness to the part. Use a Frequency of 100 and a Max Amplitude of 0.6.
  • Constant Roughness: Create a constant roughness throughout the part.
  • Varied Roughness: Vary the roughness so that the face highlighted in the image is smooth and eventually reaches the max amplitude at the end of the part.
  • Mimicking AM Surfaces: Mimic the surfaces on a part using the Angle Field block to vary the roughness. Assume the build plane has a normal of <0,0,1>.
